Our Story

Thank you for visiting our White Jones Hardware and Sporting Goods, Inc. website!  We are independently owned, local Ace Hardware stores with locations at 128 East Shockley Ferry Rd in the Watson Village Shopping Center; 2903 North Main St in the Pruitt Shopping Center; and 4433 Highway 24 near the intersection of Whitehall Rd and Highway 187.

White and Gertrude Jones founded White Jones Hardware and Sporting Goods in 1967.  Mr. Jones had extensive knowledge of the retail hardware business and Mrs. Jones had the retail business experience.  Together they were successful in the business.  As a team, they selected associates that helped them build one of the largest Ace Hardware stores in the southeast; serving upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia. 

We are a full service hardware store featuring tools, plumbing, hardware, electrical, paint, lawn and garden supplies, outdoor equipment, and house wares.  The sporting goods department at Watson Village has a large array of firearms featuring handguns, long guns, and ammunition. All three stores carry fishing equipment.

We operate today as a three store corporation under the legacy of Mr. and Mrs. Jones, committed to providing knowledgeable advice, helpful service and quality products.  Helping you is the most important thing we do.
